[Every day, when we wake up, we make the sign of the Cross and say:]
In the name of Father, Son [+], and Holy Spirit. Amen.
Glory to Thee, O God, glory to Thee.
[Then, we say these prayers, which are used whenever we begin to pray.]
TO THE HOLY SPIRIT
Heavenly King, Comforter, Spirit of Truth, Who art everywhere present and fillest all things, Treasury of good gifts, and Giver of Life, come and abide in us, cleanse us of all impurity, and save our souls, O Good One.
TO THE HOLY TRINITY
Holy God, Holy Mighty [+], Holy Immortal, have mercy on us.
Holy God, Holy Mighty [+], Holy Immortal, have mercy on us.
Holy God, Holy Mighty [+], Holy Immortal, have mercy on us.
Glory to Father, Son [+], and Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen.
Most Holy Trinity, have mercy on us. Lord, wash away our sins. Master [+], pardon our iniquities. Holy One, visit and heal our infirmities for Thy name's sake.
Lord, have mercy. Lord, have mercy. Lord, have mercy.
Glory to Father, Son [+], and Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen.
TO GOD OUR FATHER
Our Father, Who art in the heavens, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil-one.
Glory to Father, Son [+], and Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen.
TO JESUS CHRIST
O come, let us worship God our King. O come let us worship and fall down before Christ, our King and God. O come let us worship and fall down before Christ Himself, our King and God.
TO THE THEOTOKOS
It is truly meet to call thee blest, the Theotokos, ever blessed and most pure, and the Mother of our God. More honorable than the Cherubim, and more glorious beyond compare than the Seraphim, without corruption thou gavest birth to God the Word: True Theotokos, we magnify thee.
O virgin Theotokos, rejoice; O Mary full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, for thou hast borne the Savior of our souls.
THANKSGIVING FOR THE MORNING
Having risen from sleep, we fall down before Thee, O Good One, and we cry aloud to Thee, O Mighty One, the angelic hymn: Holy, Holy, Holy art Thou, O God; through the Theotokos, have mercy on us.
Glory to Father, Son [+], and Holy Spirit:
Thou hast raised me up from bed and sleep, O Lord; enlighten my mind and heart, and open my lips that I may hymn Thee, O Holy Trinity; Holy, Holy, Holy art Thou, O God; through the Theotokos, have mercy on us. Now and ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen.
Suddenly the Judge will come, and the deeds of each will be laid bare; but at midnight let us cry with fear: Holy, Holy, Holy art Thou, O God; through the Theotokos, have mercy on us.
Lord, have mercy. Lord, have mercy. Lord, have mercy.
Glory to Father, Son [+], and Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen.
God be gracious unto us and bless us, and cause His face to shine upon us, and have mercy on us.
This is the day which the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. Amen.
[Every morning, each member of the family should have a piece of Antidoron (blessed but not consecrated bread) and a little holy water before breakfast, preferably at the end of the prayers.]
