1. Where can I download the app?
The GLM floor plan app can be downloaded in the Apple App Store and in the Google Play Store.
2. Which devices is the GLM floor plan app available for?
The app is available only for Android and iOS tablets. Other operating systems and smartphones are not supported.
3. Can I also use the app with a smartphone?
No, the app can only be used with a tablet.
4. Which tablets are supported by the GLM floor plan app?
The devices supported are tablets with Android 4.x.x or higher and Apple iPad (3rd Gen. or higher), iPad Air (1st Gen. or higher), iPad mini (1st Gen. or higher) and iPad mini Retina (1st Gen. or higher). Other tablets cannot establish a connection to the GLM 100 C. If older devices are used, it will not be possible to establish a connection between the GLM 100 C and the GLM floor plan app even if the app can be installed.
5. Can I use the GLM floor plan app on my Windows/Blackberry device?
No, the app is designed only for Apple and Android devices.
6. Will my data be retained when I update to a new software version?
Yes, your data will be retained when a software update is performed.
1. Why can I not establish a connection between the GLM 100 C and my tablet?
Please check whether Bluetooth is activated on the tablet and on the GLM 100 C, and whether the devices are within range. Other possible sources of error:
- Another GLM 100 C is already connected to your tablet. Please deactivate Bluetooth on the corresponding laser measure. Alternatively you can select your tool via
→ “GLM selection”.
- Your GLM 100 C is connected to another tablet. Disconnect the Bluetooth connection of these devices in order to establish a new connection.
2. Can I also transfer the data from my GLM 100 C to my PC via USB?
We recommend that you use our GLM Transfer Software, which is available for free download, to transfer measured values from your GLM 100 C to your computer.
3. Can more than one GLM 100 C be connected to/used with the app at the same time?
No. You can use a maximum of one laser measure at a time. You can select a tool under
→ “GLM selection”. Check first whether Bluetooth is activated on the GLM 100 C and on the tablet, and whether both devices are within range.
4. How far apart can the laser measure and the tablet be from each other?
Depending on on-site conditions (obstacles, sunlight, etc.), it is possible to maintain a connection between your tablet and the GLM 100 C for up to approx. 10 metres.
5. I have an iPad 2. Why can I not establish a connection to my GLM 100 C?
The iPad 2 cannot establish a connection to the GLM 100 C. You will find a list of supported devices here.
1. How do I transfer the measured values from my GLM 100 C to GLM floor plan?
If your GLM 100 C has a connection to a tablet, the measured values are automatically transferred in real time.
2. Where do I find my measured values?
You can view and use your measured values by selecting an element and sliding up the numeric keypad for manual entry in entry mode.
3. Can I transfer measured values to the app subsequently?
No. Only the measured values taken while the Bluetooth connection is active are saved in the app. In plan mode, you can see in the upper menu bar whether a tool is connected.
4. How many measured values are stored in the measured value list?
Maximum 50 measured values are stored across all projects.
1. What do the symbols on the left-hand edge of the screen mean?
2. Why is the display of the measured values more accurate on my GLM 100 C than in the app?
You can set the number of decimal places under
→ decimal places. The app will round off the values from your GLM 100 C accordingly.
3. If I change the length of a wall, will a second wall change as well?
Yes. The app does so to retain the layout. If the layout and the measured values contradict each other, the measured value will be placed in brackets and shown in blue. Values shown in black are calculated by the program.
4. How do I move objects after I have drawn them?
In draw mode, tap on
to move individual objects.
5. Can I move/delete related objects?
No. It is currently only possible to move/delete individual objects. This function will be supported with one of the future updates.
6. How do I move walls?
Tap on the centre of a wall and drag it to the required position.
7. Can I change the thickness of all walls at the same time?
No. It is only possible to change the thickness of individual walls subsequently.
8. How do I go to wall view?
Select
in draw mode. Tap on a wall, select “Wall View” and then “Select side 1” (inner side)/“Select side 2” (outer side).
9. How do I insert doors, windows and other elements?
Switch to wall view by selecting the corresponding wall, tapping on wall view and then selecting the required wall side. There you can select the corresponding elements using

10. Can I save different wall thicknesses for different projects?
No. The wall thickness can be adjusted for all projects using
. Individual walls can be adjusted within a project by selecting the relevant wall.
11. What scale does the app use?
In draw mode the app supports the standard 1:50 scale.
12. What file formats can I import?
Currently the common image formats (JPEG, BMP, GIF, PNG) are supported.
1. How do I have angles displayed?
Click on symbol

to display all angles.
2. How do I set 90°/45° angle fixing?
You can activate/deactivate angle fixing under
→ “Angle at 90°/45°”.
3. How do I transfer angle measurements to the app?
Angle measurements taken with your GLM 100 C can be transferred to the app manually. You can adjust the angles visually in selection mode by dragging and dropping the relevant walls. To enter values directly, switch to dimensioning mode
and then select
. Now you can change the corresponding angles directly by tapping on them.
4. Why does the angle not change when I adjust its value?
The value you have entered is shown in blue brackets in the floor plan. The angle is not visually adjusted so as not to change the room layout. Alternatively you can change the angles in the plan by adjusting them manually (drag and drop).
1. How do I save my plans?
The plans are saved automatically.
2. What are the possibilities for exporting?
You can send your plans in PDF format by e-mail.
3. Why are the floor plans exported in different scales?
The scale is dynamically adapted to the DIN A4 paper size.
4. Can I export my measured values directly out of GLM floor plan?
No. You can use our free GLM Transfer Software for the PC to export the data from your GLM 100 C as an Excel file.
